State Grid Brazil Holding \u2013 SGBH, a Chinese company belonging to the State Grid Corporation of China group, has been in Brazil since 2010, operating in the energy transmission sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In China, State Grid has superlative numbers, detailed below: it serves more than 1.1 billion customers, covering around 88% of Chinese territory, extending its operations to countries such as Italy, Australia, Portugal, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Brazil, where, in 2010, it purchased the transmission assets of the Spanish company Plena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the projects it supports are the Orquestra Mar\u00e9 do Amanh\u00e3, Hospital do Amor, Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Lazzarini and Espa\u00e7o Adav and Hospital Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe, in addition to providing programs that integrate Chinese and Brazilian cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Group currently holds 19 concessionaires and another five concessions through consortia with a stake of 51% in each. Large cities such as Bras\u00edlia, Rio de Janeiro and S\u00e3o Paulo, as well as extensive areas close to load centers, are already covered by around 16 thousand kilometers of transmission lines, which makes the company one of the largest in Brazil in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among its main projects are the two transmission bipoles of the Belo Monte Power Plant \u2013 the largest transmission lines in the world \u2013 which use unprecedented \u00b1800 kV UATCC technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior engineer, graduated in mechanical engineering and master in business management and administration, with over 30 years of experience in the electricity and energy sector, of which 12 years of experience in power generation and transmission line construction projects, over 15 years of management in planning, bidding and engineering in energy companies. He joined SGBH in 2014, assuming the vice-presidency of the company. In 2018, he became president and, in April 2022, he assumed the position of chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Engineer, graduated in Electrical Engineering and post-graduated in Electrical Power Systems, with over 25 years of experience in the electrical sector, of which 15 years in technical and administrative activities in GTD (Generation, Transmission and Distribution) companies and 10 years working as an executive in power transmission concessionaires. In 2001, he served as CEO of several transmission lines and since 2010 he has served as Vice-President of State Gris Brazil Holding S.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Engineer, postgraduate in Power System Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He has extensive experience in managing and leading HVAC, HVDC and UHVDC operation and maintenance. He joined State Grid Brazil Holding in 2019 as Chief Engineer and headed the UHV Operation and Maintenance Department, leading the operation of Xingu Rio Transmissora de Energia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
