Joint action with SGBH, CPFL Energia and Chilquinta Energia proposes cultural exchange between China, Brazil and Chile<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil<\/strong>\u2013 To promote cultural integration and strengthen cooperation ties between Brazil, Chile, and China, State Grid will exclusively present the Peking Opera this Thursday, May 27. The online presentation is part of a joint initiative with CPFL Energia, State Grid Brazil Holding (SGBH), and Chile's Chilquinta Energia, all companies that are part of the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) Group.<\/p>\n

The live performance will feature the Mar\u00e9 do Amanh\u00e3 Orchestra and offers a unique interaction between the two countries. As a way to connect audiences and promote entertainment during the pandemic, the show will be streamed on State Grid Brazil Holding's official YouTube page.<\/p>\n

The Peking Opera performance art will be explained to the audience in a class preceding the performance. Members of the group will explain in detail how makeup, costumes, and characterizations work. The performance will also feature interaction with staff members who, during the activity, will be invited to learn and practice the distinctive makeup of Peking Opera performers.<\/p>\n

Crossing the Atlantic Ocean virtually, traditional Chinese theater and Brazilian musicians will interact, promoting cooperation, cultural integration, and friendship between the countries. Audiences will be able to watch directly from their homes, in Brazil or around the world, in a unique performance.<\/p>\n

Peking Opera<\/strong><\/p>\n

Directly from China, the performance that mixes singing, recitation, dance, acting, acrobatics and martial arts was developed from the popularization of musical pieces during the Sung Dynasty (960 \u2013 1279) and in the mid-19th century, began to spread throughout China.<\/p>\n

Since then, this theatrical style, one of the most recent in China's history, has become considered one of the country's cultural treasures. In 2010, UNESCO recognized the importance of Peking Opera by granting it the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow's Tide Orchestra<\/strong><\/p>\n

Created in August 2010, this initiative promotes classical music learning for children and adolescents living in socially vulnerable situations. Currently, the Orquestra Mar\u00e9 do Amanh\u00e3 serves approximately 4,000 young people. The project has been sponsored by State Grid Brazil Holding since 2012.<\/p>\n
