<\/b>State Grid Brazil Holding has just received ISO 9001 Certification \u2013 Quality Management in its Engineering Division. The ISO 9001 standard is an international certification focused on the quality management of products and services. Included in the holding company's 2022 strategic plan, achieving the Certification required the adaptation of the Quality Management System (QMS). After the decision to implement ISO 9001 in the Engineering Division, a Working Group was formed to adapt the QMS, in compliance with all the requirements of the standard, which was evidenced by the certification audit, completed in August. <\/b><\/p>\n
With the support of specialized consulting, the process involved training employees in the interpretation of the ISO 9001 standard; adaptation and creation of operational and management procedures; definition of indicators to measure the effectiveness of the QMS; awareness of employees involved in the project and, finally, the performance of internal and external (certification) audits. The ISO 9001 certificate was accredited by CGCRE \u2013 Inmetro's General Coordination for Accreditation and by UKAS \u2013 The United Kingdom Accreditation Service, which endorses the Engineering Division's commitment to the quality and effectiveness of its services. <\/b><\/p>\n
The director of the Engineering Division, Danilo Sousa, emphasizes that focusing on the objective was crucial to overcoming the challenges overcome: <\/b><\/p>\n
\u2013 \u201cSince ISO 9001 certification for the Engineering Division was included in our strategic planning, we have spared no effort to achieve this. We have worked to raise awareness among employees about the benefits generated by implementing an international quality standard. Another challenge was to foster a risk-taking mentality in the development and mapping of activities and processes, and consequently prepare and train those involved to deal with adverse situations. By demonstrating technical capacity in the quality of service provision, the ISO 9001 seal allows us to increase the reliability of our brand and our business in the national and international markets,\u201d adds Danilo Sousa. <\/b><\/p>\n
SGBH collecting stamps <\/b><\/p>\n
This is the second certification achievement for State Grid Brazil Holding this year alone. In July, SGBH celebrated the achievement of the ISO 56002 certification, focused on innovation management. A pioneer in the Brazilian energy segment to obtain this seal, SGBH reinforced with this achievement its commitment to the pursuit of innovation in the electricity sector, where the company has already invested more than R$31 million in the last five years. <\/b><\/p>\n

The institution brings together experts from 167 countries. In total, there are more than 22,000 technical standards, which cover more than 50 business management models. <\/b><\/p>\n
The ISO 9001 standard establishes the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) and guides companies and organizations to be more efficient, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Created in 1987, it is regularly updated to ensure its relevance in the corporate environment. Its most recent version, IS0 9001:2015, incorporates elements such as a greater focus on stakeholders and a broader operating context so that organizations can adapt to the evolving demands of the business environment. <\/b><\/p>\n
ISO 56002 began to be developed in 2008, amid the crisis in the banking system. For 11 years, experts from all over the world worked to find the best practices in innovation in their countries, in order to reach a consensus. The objective of the standard is to ensure that companies innovate periodically, systematically and focused on generating value.
