Application of dry reactors, protection and disasters involving reactors, Ultra-High Voltage Systems and Substation Monitoring Robots are the focus of the research projects developed by technicians from the group&#039;s concessionaire companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper \u201cState Grid Innovations: 500 kV dry reactor substations\u201d will be presented by engineers Pedro Marcondes and Felippe Benarroz, from the Engineering Division of SGBH. The application of this equipment in 500 kV substations is considered an innovation in the sector. The technology, which is unprecedented in the world for 500 kV systems, uses a dry shunt reactor (without oil, which is the most common) with an air core at 500 kV, and was implemented by SGBH at the Silv\u00e2nia Substation, in the state of Goi\u00e1s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a demonstration of innovative practices carried out by SGBH in Ultra High Voltage (UAT) systems, the O&amp;M manager of Xingu-Rio Transmissora de Energia (XRTE), Fabiano Faria, presents the work \u201cFirst maintenance on an energized line in 800 kV Direct Current in Brazil\u201d to the SNPTTE audience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn our work, we will show the first maintenance activities performed on an energized 800kV DC transmission line (\u201clive line\u201d) in Brazil by the Xingu Rio Transmissora de Energia team. We will also show that the studies carried out by our R&amp;D team in conjunction with CEPEL were essential for the development of the applied techniques,\u201d explains Fabiano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still on UAT systems, SGBH participates in the presentation of the study \u201cInsertion of an Ultra High Voltage Transmission System in 1000 kV AC in Brazil\u201d, a project developed by the SGBH Research &amp; Development Department and researcher Jos\u00e9 Antonio Cardoso, from the Electric Energy Research Center (CEPEL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The use of reactors in substations was also the subject of other research carried out by teams from the concessionaires XRTE and Teles Pires Transmissora de Energia, which are part of State Grid Brazil Holding. Engineer Ricardo Dutra, Protection specialist at the O&amp;M Department of SGBH, and Marcos Pioltine, from Nari Brazil Holding (which is part of the State Grid group), comment on the considerations of the study \u201cReactor Protection Application Techniques \u2013 Technical Report GE-833\u201d, co-authored with Felipe Lotte de S\u00e1 Magalh\u00e3es, from XRTE, and Rafael Fernandes, from Argo Transmiss\u00e3o de Energia, members of the study group Protection, Measurement, Control and Automation in Power Systems of SNPTEE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two other works exhibited at the event are: \u201cDamages in 500 kV Line Reactors and Criteria adopted by TPT for Defining 50 kV RIP Bushings\u201d, developed by Jhony Duque, Francisco H\u00f6pker, Vinicius Damasceno and Tadeu Santos, from Teles Pires Transmissora (TPT, part of the SGBH group); and \u201cSubstation Monitoring Robot: a Successful Case of Management of ANEEL Cooperative R&amp;D Projects\u201d, developed, among others, by Francisco H\u00f6pker (TPT), Jo\u00e3o Batista (PTE) and Jorge Bauer, vice president of SGBH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an estimated 2,500 participants, including professionals from the electrical sector, representatives from engineering and consulting companies, research centers, universities, equipment manufacturers, dealers, and industry bodies and agents, SNPTEE is considered the largest seminar in Latin America and the 2nd largest in the world.
