Since 2017, we have been developing actions in the Malhadinha community, in the municipality of Brejinho de Nazaré/TO, aiming at the sustainable development and socio-environmental integrity of the quilombola community, as part of the environmental licensing process. The project was developed in three lines of action: Project to Promote Local Productive Activities; Structural Reform of the Community Shed; and Actions foreseen in the Basic Environmental Plan related to the Environmental Education programs, Environmental Education Program and Environmental Plan for Construction. Among the actions already carried out, we highlight the implementation of the fruit pulp processing unit, the installation of artesian wells and the promotion of rural entrepreneurship and technological training courses for residents and community leaders. Currently, SGBH provides technical and financial support for the operation of the Unit to optimize income generation from the sale of fruit pulp.
