The company signed its commitment with ANEEL this morning
Rio de Janeiro – State Grid Brazil Holding assumes today, April 20, the commitment made in Auction No. 01/2020 of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), held in December of last year. The company had the second best bid offered at the time, and after the first placed bidder was disqualified by ANEEL's Special Bidding Committee (CEL), SGBH was called for qualification and becomes the holder of the concession.
“We are excited about this new challenge, as this will be another opportunity to fulfill our mission of offering a first-class electricity transmission system to all Brazilians, in a sustainable way for the company, the electricity sector and the Brazilian population.”, says Lyu Shirong, chairman from SGBH.
To better meet the demands of the new business, State Grid will establish a special purpose company, called Silvania Transmissora de Energia SA, which will be responsible for signing the concession agreement, contracting all construction works and services, and operating the concession during the 30-year term in the state of Goiás. The lot consists of the Silvânia-Trindade transmission line, the Silvânia substation, and sections of transmission line between the Silvânia substation and the Samambaia-Emborcação transmission line, also including extensions of transmission line between the Silvânia substation and the Samambaia-Itumbiara transmission line.
