Company invested more than R$45 million in shares across the country
Rio de Janeiro - The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has released the second Corporate Social Responsibility Report of its companies in Brazil. The book brings together the projects carried out by State Grid Brazil Holding (SGBH), CPFL, NARI and CET for the benefit of Brazilians during 2019.
Last year, SGCC invested more than R$45 million in supporting social projects that directly benefited several communities, promoting culture, education, health and environmental preservation, expanding State Grid's commitment to contributing to the country's sustainable development.
The Report also demonstrates how the investments and projects of the main SGCC companies in Brazil are connected to global actions to promote sustainability. In this sense, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations (UN) stand out, to encourage companies, citizens and countries to work together to promote economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Brazil represents 60% of all investment made by SGCC outside China, with assets in generation, transmission, distribution and other segments related to the electricity sector.
