The State Grid Brazil Holding (SGBH) Operations Workshop reached its 9th edition, consolidating its position as a space for learning, experience sharing, and integration within the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) department. Held on August 25th and 26th, the meeting brought together approximately 100 professionals from major companies in the electricity sector at SGBH's office in Rio de Janeiro.
"The objective of the event is to share best practices in the field, seeking innovations and solutions for routine activities, in addition to bringing teams together and strengthening relationships with our company's partners," explained Raphael Lemos Pinto, Operations Manager at SGBH.
This year, the theme was "Strategies for Efficiency and Safety in Operations Management." The program featured several presentations, covering, for example, health, safety, transmission sector regulation, agile solutions, management systems, and new ways of operating using data. More than a technical meeting, the workshop established itself as a space for networking and collaboration.
"With each edition, we've seen the event's relevance grow. Companies are bringing their professionals, sharing knowledge, and already showing interest in participating again next year. This shows that we're moving forward with excellence," Raphael emphasized.
A special attraction was the robot that SGBH uses for facility inspections. Always arousing curiosity, it checks equipment conditions, collects data such as temperature and pressure, identifies leaks and foreign objects, measures each point and compares it with normal values, flagging defects when necessary.
Autonomous and programmable via GPS, the little robot can also be controlled remotely. Being quadrupedal, it adapts to ramps, stairs, uneven surfaces, and difficult terrain. All data is sent to the company's management system, ensuring efficient maintenance.
