SGBH team at Rio Innovation Week 2025

SGBH will be present at the largest global technology and innovation conference
The future of energy also involves data management. This was the central message from Pedro Araujo, RDI manager at State Grid Brazil Holding (SGBH), during his participation in Rio Innovation Week 2025, the largest technology and innovation conference in the country.
In the panel "Open Energy and Data Sharing: Data Governance in the New Energy Ecosystem," Pedro shared the stage with Rodrigo Regis Galvão (Cepel Eletrobras), Clinger Barros (Lemon Energia), and Alexandre Pierro (PALAS). They discussed how openness and information sharing among companies, institutions, and government agencies can transform the electricity sector.
According to the SGBH manager, making industry data more accessible is an essential step toward expanding innovation, integrating technologies, and strengthening transmission grid planning: "Sharing information can help address extreme weather events and enable specific solutions that rely on real-time data to optimize the capacity of existing lines," he emphasized.

Pedro also spoke about the concept of Open Energy, which proposes that data on energy generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption be shareable, always respecting security and privacy rules: "Open Energy should be seen as a national data infrastructure, strategic for accelerating the energy transition and positioning Brazil as a global benchmark in innovation," he concluded.
Rio Innovation Week took place from August 11th to 15th in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together 40 simultaneous stages, 2,000 startups, and 300 exhibitors. The 2025 edition's theme was "A Look Through Ethics," promoting discussions on how technology can drive economic and social transformation.
