SGBH is involved in guaranteeing the electrical power supply at COP15 CMS.

SGBH participated in the Essential Infrastructure Security Action Plan during COP15 of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), held between March 23 and 29 in Campo Grande (MS). The objective was to ensure the supply of electricity for the event and for essential services in the city.

The CMS is a United Nations agreement signed in 1979 that promotes international cooperation for the protection of migratory species and the conservation of shared ecosystems. COPs (Competitions on Migration) occur, on average, every three years and bring countries together to assess progress and define priorities related to the topic.

During the conference, SGBH's actions were focused on ensuring the transmission of energy for the operation of essential services, such as air transport, water supply, telecommunications, and fuel distribution, especially at strategic points linked to the event. The initiative followed the model adopted in other international agendas held in Brazil, such as BRICS, G20, and COP30, under the coordination of the Institutional Security Office (GSI) of the Presidency of the Republic.

To this end, the company prepared in advance. SGBH's O&M Department developed the Electrical Guarantee Plan for COP15, in accordance with internal procedures for major events. This included cooperation with companies in the sector, as well as coordination with the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), the National System Operator (ONS), and public safety agencies.

The company's assets in Mato Grosso do Sul and the System Operation Center (COS) in Rio de Janeiro underwent prior inspections. Tests were also conducted to simulate potential problems and ensure rapid responses. In addition, the O&M teams operated on a special standby basis throughout the event.

“We prepared for this period to fulfill our role in society and guarantee electricity for the event, ensuring safety for our facilities and for the people,” comments Flávio Fukuda, manager of the Southwest Regional office, responsible for the supply infrastructure in Mato Grosso do Sul.
